How SplitMemos handles your data
SplitMemos is an iOS action extension that lets you split a Voice Memos recording into separate segments, preview each segment, and save/share the results.
SplitMemos does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to our servers. All audio processing happens locally on your device. For in-app purchases, RevenueCat processes transactions and uses an anonymous app identifier to validate and restore purchases. We only receive your Pro entitlement status.
SplitMemos requests access to the audio file you select via the Share sheet so it can split it into segments. It does not access other data on your device and does not transmit your recordings off-device.
SplitMemos uses temporary folders to process and split your selected recording. These temporary files are cleaned up after you finish sharing. The split segments are saved as .m4a files that you can share or re-import into Voice Memos.
SplitMemos does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies. We use RevenueCat only to manage in-app purchases.
When you purchase or restore Pro, RevenueCat processes the transaction and uses an anonymous app-specific identifier to associate the purchase with your app installation. Purchase history data is used for app functionality (receipt validation and restore) and analytics (subscription status in our RevenueCat dashboard). This data is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across apps. No device identifiers or advertising identifiers are collected.
Because SplitMemos does not send your recordings or content to any server, we do not share that data with any third party. For purchases, limited information is shared with RevenueCat (such as the anonymous identifier and purchase status) to validate transactions and enable restore.
SplitMemos is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no personal information for us to access, modify, or delete. If you wish to remove locally stored data, you can remove the app or delete the split files you created.
